Hi, my name is Eleanor and I live in Sergipe (north east Brazil) with my husband and our two cats. So why is this blog not written in Portuguese? Well, I’m actually British, but I live in Brazil.

A Life Bewhiskered: Observations of a cat owner is a blog about my experiences of living with cats. It features Spock & Zé (my current cats) with occasional cameo appearances by myself, my husband and the wonderful cats  of my past.

I created this blog for two reasons. Mainly, it is as a record for myself. A kind of online scrapbook and photo album. It’s also a way for my family and friends back in England to get to know my little family here. But I also hope that some of my stories and pictures may be fun or interesting to other people. I think it is safe to say that you will need to be a cat person to appreciate this…but I know there are a lot of us out there.
